Dirt Devil

Uh-oh. Here comes the big bad wolf. Also know as, the building of the houses across the street from us.

 First there was a big pile of dirt from digging where the new houses would go in the next block.

Then the big pile of dirt grew grass on it.

Then the big pile of dirt was carried away and the new houses appeared in the next block.

Inch by inch, we are going to lose our view.

Here come the houses.

Today a forklift is bringing the cinder blocks for the foundation. The concrete mixer was here last week and trenches were dug and concrete poured.

Oh little house with the red door. Enjoy your last view of Baltimore. You are about to be overtaken by something bigger, newer and shinier. But that doesn't mean we love you any less. You are the best house built in the 1890's that we could ever know.  Thank you for being ours.
