Halloween

I hope everyone had a nice Halloween. This was our first halloween in our new house, so we finally got to carve pumpkins. In the city, that wasn't an option or else the rats would have eaten them or the vandals would have gotten them.  We had a fun time doing it. It had been years since I had carved a pumpkin, but luckily it all came right back to me. And let's just say I was a much more thorough scrapper outer than Peirce was.

This was Ben's design.

And this was Eddie's. Note the eyebrows. They are a little hard to see in this photo.

On Halloween night, we actually did have two sets of trick or treaters come to our house so that was exciting. Ben wore his astronaut costume to school and Eddie put on his box of crayons when it was time to head out. We trick or treated around the neighborhood and Eddie and Ben were confused at first as to why you couldn't knock on every single door. Even if the house was pitch black dark with not an ounce of life inside. They were used to the city where everyone sits on their stoop and gives you candy for just walking by. This time, they had to earn it a bit. We were home in an hour and had very heavy buckets. Now what to do with all that candy?
