Macgill update

I have been MIA for a while. Let me catch you up.  Yesterday was Eddie's Race for Education at his school. They earned over $22,000 for the school and they plan to use it for technology.  I showed up to help mark off laps that the students complete, but the principal got a look at my camera and had me taking pictures of the event.

So of course, my own child was the most photographed student.  He started out nice and chilly with dry hair and a calm demeanor.

After a few laps and a happy face....

He looked a little winded, but still smiling.

After a few more laps, the jacket came off and the sweat was front and center.

But the 45 minutes or so of walking and running was all worth it because you get a freeze pop at the end.

It is awesome to be at a school where you see the principal skipping with a bunch of second graders.

In other news, I had allergy testing done this week. Got labeled and pricked in a bunch of places. My biggest vices are cats, dust mites and ragweed, followed by some trees, dogs and grass. As I thought, I can never own a cat and my husband should do all the dusting. Doctor's orders, right?

In our neighborhood, we are proud to be home to the headquarters of Under Armour. It is situated right on the harbor and it a great spot for staring out at the boats or having the kids run around. Imagine our excitement when we went for a walk and found a half sized turf football field where concrete once was.  Gordon and Will, you must come visit.

We immediately made it a point to go every weekend to have a tackle game. First it starts out with parental involvement, then it deteriorates to the brothers just chasing each other and knocking each other to the ground.

I think it is time to go indoors for some quiet activities like coloring. That's a great bird you colored Ben and a very pretty rainbow of crayons and colored pencils.  Have a good weekend everyone.

  1. Thanks for all the pictures. My boys just get better looking every day. Has Eddie thought about going as Dracula for Halloween?
Try to stay dry and don't blow away.
