Summer in the City

Hot Time. Summer in the City. That's all I can think of to post. We are just trying to survive the heat. Today there is a break in the temperature and our windows are open. It is 8:45 a.m. and usually we are at the pool by now, just to escape the heat of the house. But, today we are actually lingering and that feels nice.

The air conditioner in the boys room has died this year. It pumps freezing air for three hours and then pretty much just cuts off. We had an old one in the basement that fits and seems to be doing the trick.

We have been keeping busy by hitting the library often, going to the pool, or trying to find air conditioning when we can. Some days it feels like a blizzard is outside because we hunker down inside. That just seems odd.

Nonetheless, we are enjoying the summer and lack of routine. Hope you are finding ways to enjoy yours and stay cool.
