Last week, the boys participated in track and field camp for the second time.
Ben's favorite event seemed to be the javelin. Any time you get to throw things is cool.
He also qualified in the hurdles this year, but had to scratch from the final race because he fell and hurt his knee (again....this happened last year too).
Eddie participated in the shot put this year. Each day, the kids learned the track and field skills. Then, on the last day they choose which two field events and which two running events they want to complete.

Both boys won first place in the long jump.
As you can see, Ben was quite happy.
Eddie race the 400m and the 800m (along with the hurdles) and got first place for his age in both the 400 and 800.
Despite Ben's fall and tears, it was a great camp and they crossed the finish line well!
Congrats to my 2 favorite track and field grandchildren. How great to get outside and run,jump,etc.
