May Update

One of my favorite things in this world is a little kid in a baseball uniform. There is something so sweet and hopeful and joyful about it. Luckily, Ben plays two games a week and I get to see his cute self in his uniform.

However....this uniform is a New York Yankees uniform and that does not make this Baltimore Orioles fan happy. Especially, when my kid starts cheering for them on tv. Thank goodness the season is just about over and he can go back to being an O's fan.

 A couple weeks ago, we got to go to the Bowie Baysox Game for Little League day. The Baysox are the Orioles Double A affiliate. Ben got to walk on field and shake the players hands. 

Unfortunately, things weren't so good back next week near our house. There was a sinkhole around the corner from us. The men patched it within a day and just fully repaired it this weekend. Life is back to normal.

We headed to Richmond for Memorial Day weekend. Things started off with Gordon and Peirce playing catch in the front yard.

 Then we took the kids to Maymont, which is a beautiful park with animals and lots and pretty scenery.

 Can you see my beautiful photo? I thought this was neat. They had an empty frame on a post and it allowed you to frame the bridge and waterfall perfectly. Unfortunately, that person wouldn't get off the bridge, but I think it still looks cool.

 Grammy and Ben rock hopped in the koi pond.

And the cousins had a good time.

 Next, it was on to visit our friends, Todd and Emily. 

They live on 8.5 acres and I must say, this is the perfect baseball field.

 Eddie and Jeb swam in the pond.

And Emily taught us how to fish. 

She kept catching fish, but was kind enough to let Eddie and Ben each throw one back into the pond. Good grip on that one Eddie!
