A fall day

Today we stayed busy with enjoying the fall weather. This morning, Eddie had to go to soccer and get his team picture taken. As usual, he was not happy with going and proceeded to cry when he was getting his uniform on. I have learned to stay home and let Peirce handle the whole thing. Otherwise, Eddie would want to stay with me on the sideline pulling my hair for comfort. So, they made it out unscathed and for the first time, Eddie kicked the soccer ball to start one of the quarters. Baby steps.

After soccer, we went to a festival held at a local school. It had tons of kids games and small prizes and crafts. It was fun. We then came home for a brief rest and then got back in the car to go to a restaurant on the water in a section of Baltimore County called Middle River. This is near where my dad grew up. It was a beautiful day and a great place to take the kids because we sat outside and that seemed to offer enough to entertain them.

Tomorrow, I'm headed on a bike ride with my dad. We're going on the nice flat portion of the Baltimore/Annapolis trail. There will definitely be a couple hills thrown in, but otherwise, should be a fun time. Then, it is home to plop on the sofa and watch the Ravens and do my Sunday laundry.
