Soccer Season

We started our South Baltimore Youth Soccer League season last Saturday. There was a chill in the air. It was a cloudy day and fall had arrived. The games are held at our local park, a block away, so we carried over chairs, snacks, camera, etc...everything possible to make sure we appeared as nerdy as weighed down as we could.

This time last year, Eddie was in tears. He dreaded every week's game and we did too! Now that Ben is old enough to play, I think that has helped Eddie get excited about it.

First up, running through the flags. Each players' name was called. Yes, this took what seemed like hours.

We all decided that there was nothing cuter than these little three year olds in their uniforms. Of course, our three year old towered over all of his teammates. Ben's team is named the Tater Tots.

Eddie enjoyed playing his game. A victory in and of itself! His team is called the Shooting Stars. Here he is (#6) running after a ball.
He loved running up and down the field, but he seemed to be best at jumping up and down in the middle of the action and pointing which way to run up the field. It cracked me up.
